Bio-based polymers are squeezing in countless industries which until now work with materials coming from fossil-based resources. New field is combining these bio-based polymer materials with wood derivatives. Nowadays bio-based nanocomposites from vegetable oils and lignocellulose components have a great promise in giving the consumer most of the desired wood product properties and some new one’s as well.<br/>While photopolymerization has gained additional attention especially in the last years considering its attractive application in UV-light assisted 3D printing technology mainly knowns as stereolithography (SLA). Now it relies on fossil-based acrylic resins. Bio-based resins formulation for SLA remains a challenge in the field.  <br/>We report investigations of photopolymerization process for vegetable oil-based resin filled with several lignocellulose components – hemicellulose, nanocrystalline cellulose, nanocellulose fibrils and lignin.<br/>While adjustment of prepared UV-sensitive resin through composition formulation and lignocellulose components functionalization in the interface of polymer-nanofiller provides the properties necessary for additive manufacturing applications. The above stated ability to control the features in the interface of the biocomponents and evaluation of their influence on the micro and macroscopic properties provides a new aspect to the development of the bio-nanocomposites. Curing kinetics, structural, thermal, viscoelastic, thermo-mechanical and dielectric properties of these bio-based nanocomposites are discussed.
