Recent experimental advances in nanophotonics with individual molecules and quantum dots can enable the development of charge and energy transport devices that exploit non-trivial quantum effects for enhanced efficiency. In this work, we study an open quantum system model for charge transport in a nanojunction composed of an array of N quantum emitters with either linear or circular geometry. We consider both electron and hole tunneling between sites. We study current-voltage (I-V) curves and conductance spectra for both circular and linear arrays, taking into account electron-photon interaction, radiative relaxation, and incoherent laser pumping. We show that for a given set of system parameters and driving voltage, an external pumping source can increase the device current under conditions that cause electron localization. We also discuss the dependence of the state-resolved current-voltage performance on the degree of electron delocalization in the system and the coupling to its reservoirs. Our work illustrates the key physical processes involved in the mechanism for charge transport in driven-dissipative semiconductor junctions.
