Additive manufacturing by direct metal laser sintering is able to produce high resolution metal scaffolds for human body implants. For several years already, the porous titanium scaffold is applied to dental implants production and is investigated with in vivo studies . It has long been well-grounded that surfaces such as SLA, DAE, RBM accelerate and increase osteointegration . However, very few investigations have been done where these surfaces would be applied to the scaffolds. In this study, scaffolds were modified using dual acid etching (DAE) technique in order to increase osseointegration, but maintain the proper mechanical properties of the scaffolds.
