Abstract

NOWADAYS ALMOST ALL DENTAL IMPLANTS COMMERCIALISED ARE CHARACTERISED BY SURFACES WHICH HAVE BEEN ROUGHENED IN ORDER TO INCREASE THE BONE-TO-IMPLANT CONTACT AREA , BUT ROUGHENED IMPLANTS ARE PRONE TO PERI-IMPLANTITIS MORE THAN MACHINED ONES. THIS SPLIT-MOUTH RCT WANT TO COMPARE THE EFFECTIVENESS OF IMMEDIATE LOADED SINGLE IMPLANTS WITH A MACHINED OR A ROUGHENED SURFACE IN 50 PATIENTS (100 IMPLANTS).
