INFLUENCE EFFECT OF BREASTFEEDING COMMITMENT TO QUALITY OF LIFE IN NURSING MOTHERS

Background and Aims.
Data on the impact of breastfeeding on the quality of life of mothers are not available. The aim of the  work is to study the impact of commitment to breastfeeding on the quality of life of nursing mothers.
Method A survey was conducted of 510 women with infants. SF-36 questionnaires were used to assess the quality Of all patients were divided into two groups: 1 - women who breastfeed (260 women) and 2 -
children who are not breastfed (250).
Results.
The indicators of "physical health" in group 1 and 2 were not statistically significant, while the indicators of "mental health" of nursing women were almost 2 times lower than that of non-nursing women (р=0,017). The level of physical functioning in groups 1 and 2 was the same (р=1,56), while the index of role physical functioning due to physical condition (the influence of physical activity on daily duties) in group 1 was lower than in group 2 (р=0,043). The intensity of pain (bodily pain - BP) less affects the ability to perform daily activities in nursing women (p=0,003). The emotional state of nursing mothers does not reduce their social activity. Overall figure positive of emotions (role -
emotional) in group 1 was significantly higher, than in group 2 (p=0,05). The emotional state of nonnursing mothers is more of a hindrance to work or other daily activities.
Conclusion.
Thus, the quality of life of nursing mothers contributes to the observance of breastfeeding to the maintenance of emotional health and high social activity.
