Quantitative assessment of hemoglobin species in intracerebral hemorrhage may improve emergency radiology. Many factors are influences on visualization of blood on MRI, such factors as time, hemoglobin species(oxy-Hb/deoxy-Hb/met-Hb), erythrocyte membrane status, pulse sequences, and etc. The purpose of this study is creation of semi-automatic mechanism for determination of hemoglobin species in intracerebral hemorrhage.

Laboratory constructed phantom was used for modeling of different hemoglobin species and statements of erythrocyte membrane. T1, T2, T2* relaxation time and apparent diffusion coefficient were measured. Spectrophotometry was used to control of hemoglobin species and erythrocytes membrane status. Additionally, hemorrhage stroke was modeled in rat with dynamic MRI examination.

In-vitro and in in-vivo determinations of different forms of blood was performed. For in-vitro investigation 15 different forms of blood were used. For in-vivo investigation a rat model with intracerebral hemorrhage investigated was used immediately after modeling and up to 10 days. CatBoost (open-source gradient boosting on decision trees) was used.

Semi-automatically quantitative assessment of hemoglobin species may improve diagnostic of intracerebral hemorrhage in radiology. This method makes possible quantitative evaluation and time determination of blood on MRI.
