The wear patterns on the medial tibial condyle are mostly seen in the anteromedial quadrant with an intact ACL in subjects with AnteroMedial Osteoarthritis (AMOA).  In the Indian subcontinent and asian populations with a lifestyle that requires squatting and sitting cross-legged, the collaterals are laxer as compared with the rest of the world. This changes the stresses that the tibiofemoral joints are subjected to and thus this cohort shows a more centromedial wear . This study reports on a consecutive series of patients from the Indian subcontinent who underwent a UKA and analyses their wear patterns.
