Technical progress and rapidly changing social environment cause the increase in number of negative factors influencing a person, which adversely impacts the individual’s emotional health. Current study relevance arises from the complex relationship between forgiveness readiness level and individual’s emotional well-being, as well as heterogeneous interpretations of the causes and the manifestations of this relationship which requires new research strategies and appropriate psychological tools.
Based on the analysis of the concepts: forgiveness, emotional well-being and emotional intelligence and the study of the forgiveness phenomenon, we believe that emotional awareness and empathy are among the main forgiveness formation mechanisms.
