Pain puts a serious burden on individuals and society. The European Societal Impact of Pain (SIP) platform is a multi-stakeholder platform which has been established in 2009. SIP has been demonstrated to be extremely successful, for example with the selection as a Thematic Network on the EU Health Policy Platform in 2018. SIP Europe has now started to establish SIP national platforms following the same model.
