3D printing technologies are enabling in that they allow local users to generate complex three dimensional objects from a range of materials. Our research has focused on expanding the bredth of available materials for 3D printing with a specific focus on materials that can adsorb environmentally-relevant analytes. I will discuss my lab's work developing materials that adsorb molecules for environmental remediation (gases, heavy metals and organic pollutants), alternative energy (gases), and environmental monitoring (protons).
