Herein, we synthesize the Au@Ag@β-cyclodextrin (CD) nanoparticles with relatively uniform shape and size at ～13 nm in diameter, the surface of the synthesized nanoparticles is evenly coated β-CD. We developed a highly efficient synthetic approach for preparing SERS substrate, which self-assembles the Au@Ag@β-CD nanoparticles and analyte into a coffee ring pattern by the coffee ring effect. The coffee ring effect can make phthalates (PAEs) aggregate to the edge along with Au@Ag@β-CD nanoparticles and achieve concentration enrichment. Besides, the surface of core-shell Au@Ag@β-CD is modified with β-CD having a cavity structure, which can enrich analyte concentration by adsorbing the analyte into hydrophobic cavity based on host-guest recognition, and this enrichment process not only improves the concentration of the surface of the analyte, but also effectively distinguished from other substances in the analyte solution. Therefore, we use the coffee ring array SERS substrate with dual-strategy enrichment to detect PAEs. The experiment proves that with using this substrate, a limit of detection of 0.2 nM for DOP detection, the recovery rate of the spiked samples ranged from 92% to 108%, and RSD was less than 7 % for PAEs detection are obtained. Our work provides a simple, rapid, low-cost, high-sensitivity and stable method for PAEs detection in life and environment.
