University-wide collaborations are essential for any program’s success and understanding how a program can navigate existing infrastructure is critical. This is especially true when a new program desires to use courses outside the program and to double-dip graduation requirements to make the course load accessible for even the most credit-packed major. What would it take to get the program off the ground?  How can an institution work together to implement the training of needed 21st-century skils? This talk will focus on how a new student orientation program supported the development and growth of the Professional Teamwork and Leadership Minor.  Examples will be shared how the use of creative program scheduling and utilizing collaborative relationships have assisted with increased awareness and enrollment in the program courses. This talk is the second in a four-part series that details a university administrative perspective while integrating the Professional Teamwork and Leadership minor into new student orientation. While the talk can absolutely be attended as a stand-alone, attending all four in the series will provide audience members with a better understanding of what this type of intentionally scaffolded curriculum can accomplish.
