<br/>Metal–organic frameworks (MOFs), composed of metal node and organic linkers, have emerged as highly effective and versatile candidate heterogeneous catalysts due to their tunable structure. Recently, we have shown that Zirconium based MOFs can effectively catalyze the hydrolysis of these toxic chemicals for diminishing their toxicity. While N-ethylmorpholine buffered solution holds promise for destruction of stockpiles of CWAs, it is not practical for the pro-tective gear applications due to the high volatility of N-ethylmorpholine. To this end, base heterogenization is crucial matter. In this talk, the hydrolysis of a phosphate-based nerve agent in solid-state in the presence of polymers and 50% humidity using a Zirconium MOFs.
