The development of efficient glycosylation methods is critical for further advances in the assembly of complex carbohydrates. A new coupling procedure, that leverages the seleno-Pummerer reaction, is described for the construction of the challenging 1,2-cis glycosidic (β􏰀-mannoside) bond.
