Natural products have historically been the main source of new antibiotics and there is an urget need for new discoveries in this regard. This talk will discuss our efforts to develop creative and efficient approaches to complex natural products that have displayed promising antimicrobial activity. Through these efforts we aim to reveal new chemical reactivity and enable structure-activity studies often for the first time.
