During the Fall 2019 semester in a small, upper-level undergraduate course on quantum mechanics and spectroscopy, an in-house virtual reality (VR) molecular model kit was utilized to help students to visualize and name the various types of vibrational modes. The VR molecular modeling kit was written using Unity for use with the Oculus Rift VR platform. Students ran geometry optimization and frequency calculations using WebMO and Gaussian16, for a series of small hydrocarbons. The resulting output files were then loaded into the VR model kit. In this talk I will discuss obstacles with implementation and student sentiment about using static pictures, the 2D dynamic representation provided by WebMO, and the 3D VR model kit.<br/>
