An accessible classroom is one where all barriers to learning due to disabilities, both visible and invisible, are removed.  The blended learning environment involves asynchronous content delivery and pre-work, followed by small group assignments during assigned class time.  Putting accessibility at the forefront of course design for a blended learning course leads to a transformative change in the classroom environment. Best practices for design of a class using the blended learning pedagogy are presented, along with case studies that show that the inclusion of multiple levels of accessibility can also lead to an inclusive environment for learning.  Strategies for inclusion in a blended learning class are presented, along with trends in student learning outcomes and faculty development.
