During the last two decades quantum light properties have been theoretically propose for novel applications in spectroscopy.1There have also been experiments performed to probe the potential of quantum light to study non-linear phenomena in molecules.2-5Most recently, there have been advances of the application of entangled nonlinear spectroscopy in biological molecular systems. Flavins, which are endogenous probes in many cellular systems, were tested for nonlinear optical activity at extremely quantum light intensity. Free and protein embedded flavins were studied in aqueous solutions. In the search of new photon sources to study biomolecules, this is the first time that quantum light is used to study a naturally occurring class of proteins.6In this presentation the results of the entangled two-photon properties of these naturally occurring biological molecules will be presented.
