This paper describes a set of writing assignments involving an ethics component for an Advanced Inorganic Chemistry course taught at The Citadel.  These writing assignments are part of a component of the Ethics in Action program in the Leadership Development Model at The Citadel.  Written assignments on a chemical process (The Haber-Bosch Process), chemical weapons in World War I and the ethical dilemma faced by the Nobel Prize awarding committee in 1917 and 1918 were prepared and submitted by the students. The ethical dilemma was whether Fritz Haber should be awarded the Nobel Prize for his work on ammonia synthesis, or denied the Prize because of his work on chemical weapons in World War I.   The papers from each student were collected, assessed, and bound into a book.  Each student was given a copy of the book containing all of the student papers submitted.  The students then participated in a debate on whether Haber deserved to be awarded the Nobel Prize.<br/>
