Biliary atresia is a condition affecting newborns in which the extrahepatic biliary trees are damaged, causing obstruction of bile flow and damage to the liver. Biliatresone (<b>1</b>) is a plant isoflavenoid that has been shown to cause biliary atresia. Previously, our group reported the synthesis and structure activity relationship studies of several biliatresone analogs. Our current work towards identifying the molecular target of biliatresone using a photoaffinity pulldown strategy will be discussed.
