In this talk, I will discuss the challenges to measure thin-film glass transition temperature and provide several thin-film methodologies to accurately measure the glass transition temperature of conjugated polymers. Then I will discuss how to rational design the glass transition temperature aiming to either lower Tg to create ultra-low modulus conjugated polymers, or high Tg conjugated polymer for improved device stability at room temperature.
