Colorado State University’s ACS student chapter (CSU Chemistry Club) strives to create a community for students of all majors and backgrounds. Whether it’s with our interactive science at regular meetings or our outreach events in Fort Collins, we aspire to make an impact on the education of students and make chemistry a little more accessible. Our organization has a strong emphasis on community involvement because we recognize the importance of real-life experiences on educational attainment. Our largest outreach event is our annual Halloween Show, which hosts more than 1000 attendees and includes the participation of several other CSU clubs, furthering our connection with other CSU students. We participate in many STEM Nights and lead individual science programs crafted to enrich teachers’ lesson plans. Through club meetings and outreach, our student chapter creates a community of students, regardless of major, who love to gather at meetings, learn about chemistry and pass their knowledge on to future generations.
