Inclusion is defined as providing opportunity for all who wish to participate in a given task. The methodology of participation may vary based on individualized needs. Further, both technological and methodological aspects should be considered when evaluating inclusion principles. In the case of the blind, aspects of laboratory safety and access technology (AT) resources must be made available. Additionally, resources for human assistance should also be considered. The need for this assistance will minimize as AT and mainstream chemistry tools factor inclusion principles in their development stages. It is only with such a shift in the chemistry technology industry, where their willingness to promote inclusion principles is the norm in product development, that full participation can be achieved. For now, leveraging current commercially available AT and human assistance is what is required to promote full participation.
