Ring opening metathesis polymerization (ROMP) has shown great utility in synthesizing polymeric materials. Traditionally, ruthenium and molybdenum complexes have initiated ROMP, although vanadium catalysts have recently garnered attention due to their ability to polymerize several common cyclic olefins. However, there is no literature precedent for a vanadium catalyst capable of polymerizing low-strain monomers to high molar mass in a living fashion. This research aims to produce high molar mass polymers in a living manner through ROMP of low-strain monomers for the first time with vanadium catalysts. In this process, the effects of reaction time, temperature, and concentration have been explored and will be presented.<br/>
