It is impossible to talk about success and not think of our journey as a student chapter and as a family at the Interamerican University in Ponce Puerto Rico. This chapter is characterized for been a hardworking and strong- willed.  Our first year we received a commendable award, since then we have aimed to surpass our own achievements and reach an outstanding level. Our main objective through these years is to incorporate in our community application of chemistry in a fun and interactive way. This chapter provides to our members a variety of divisions that are related to their plans as scientists. Medicinal, green, forensic and food chemistry comprise our catalog of diverse divisions all with a focus on chemistry with different applications.  New initiatives are incorporated to our work plan every year; such as “Program in a Box”. During the chemistry week, we did some goofy games, workshops and some festivities including the lab technician appreciation day.  After years of hard work promoting chemistry, our university has decided to start a chemistry major this coming year, and we could not be more excited.  In addition, our chapter encourages our members to participate in research experiences. Finally, we are going to keep pushing forward and give it all for the better of chemistry in our community and our association, and to prove that even with the troubling times we are still eager to keep on going, finish our dreams, and inspire the people around us.<br/>
