Biological processes are well controlled and organized. Understanding of complex biology requires dedicated research tools to interrogate spatiotemporal organization of biological activities. My lab develops novel molecular biosensors to peer into cells and brains to understand their communications. In this presentation, I will review our recent progress in the development of fluorescent and bioluminescent biosensors related to metabolism, redox biology, and neurotransmission.
