The San Germán student chapter has been committed to developing the professionals that will lead our world into the future. To carry out that part of our mission, we have developed and participated in several activities, to help train these new leaders and ensure their professional success. Activities such as the “Internship Panel Discussion” encouraged our students to get out of their comfort zone and aim for new challenging experiences out of Puerto Rico. Our participation at our Campus Open Houses and at the Festival de Química are opportunities to improve our leader’s communication and leadership skills while sharing our passion for Chemistry. Professional conference and workshop participation is also included in our professional plan. Those opportunities show our members what to expect after graduation. We also encourage students to attend either the <i>ACS National Meeting or ACS local meetings</i>, where they develop their networking skills, learn new things, get new ideas and prepare better for a job or graduate school hunting. We will present some of those activities showing that we are the leaders building a better future through the power of Chemistry.
