Dihydropyridones are nitrogen-containing heterocycles which have shown biological activity in the past.  The synthesis of dihydropyridones was carried out using an aza-Diels-Alder reaction.  Small molecule imines were synthesized to be used as dienophiles. The analysis and yields of the reactions between the imines and Danishefsky's diene in the presence of a catalyst will be discussed.<br/>
