The structure and solvation state of DME solvated mixed aggregates of lithium pinacolone enolate and lithium hexamethyldisilazide in toluene-<i>d</i><sub>8</sub> solution were determined by diffusion-ordered NMR spectroscopy (DOSY). Partial dissociation of DME was observed which implies the existence of monodentate DME and equilibrium between bidentate and monodentate mixed aggregates. The proposed solution structures and the equilibrium were further supported by calculation.
