Currently, there is a high demand in the world market for polysaccharide nanomaterials and composites based on them. Due to the small spatial dimension and the set of operational properties, they are widely used in various industries, medicine, cosmetology, cell engineering, etc. Of particular interest among nanomaterials are pectin oligosaccharides and polysaccharides, which have their own biological activity, biocompatibility, membrane toxicity, low toxicity and etc., as well as a set of properties characteristic of nanoscale particles. New effective methods have been developed for the preparation and modification of water-swelling (pectin substances and oligosaccharides) and water-soluble (microgel) pectic polysaccharides from fruit pomace, sunflower baskets and beet pulp. On the basis of microgel (MG) and pectin substances (PS), enterosorbents have been created that have greater sorption activity with respect to heavy metals and toxins, compared with pharmacopeia preparations. In this case, enterosorbents based on pectin polysaccharides of sunflower possess the highest sorption ability. In vivo conditions, it was found that their use contributes to a dose-dependent decrease in the amount of deposited lead in the organs of experimental animals during enteric lead intoxication, as well as a decrease in the activity of alanine aminotransferase, aspartate aminotransferase, and a decrease in the level of total and direct bilirubin during tetrachloromethane intoxication. Moreover, the greatest therapeutic efficacy is observed after the use of enterosorbents based on MG and PS in the maximum dose. It has been demonstrated that low molecular weight water-soluble oligosaccharides have a pronounced ability to dose-dependently increase the latent period of narcotic sleep, accelerate the recovery from intoxication, and reduce the severity of intoxication, thus weakening the acute toxic effect of ethyl alcohol in experimental animals. The ability of oligosaccharides obtained by new methods, when included in the formulation of drugs, has been proven to reduce their toxicity and optimize stability. The revealed concentration - effect dependence allowed to reduce the content of active substances in dosage forms and increase the effectiveness of drugs. Thus, pectic polysaccharides obtained by new methods can be considered as additional tools in the complex treatment of a number of diseases.
