With a rise in technology, educators are leaning more towards technology-based learning–either for homework or supplemental learning. One platform that is being used is Wiley’s Knewton Alta, a fully integrated adaptive learning courseware. Adaptive learning courseware is becoming more popular due to the availability of immediate feedback and adaptation of questions during the activity, making the course personalized to each student. Alta has been utilized over the last two years in the CH105 (GOB) course offered at Park University. A positive trend has been made in student performance, both in the course and on a nationally-normed exam given pre- and post- course.
