Hydrogen bonding is ubiquitous in nature and is particularly important in atmospheric new particle formation (NPF), whereby hydrogen-bonded molecular clusters are produced from gas-phase precursors and grow into larger aerosol particles. Currently, there are uncertainties in the first few hydrogen-bonding nucleation mechanisms during NPF that impede accurate modeling efforts. Therefore, more investigation is needed into the intermolecular interactions of atmospheric clusters to obtain a fundamental description of NPF. Recently, attention has focused on the role of highly oxidized molecules (HOMs) arising from monoterpene and sesquiterpene oxidation as major contributors to NPF due to the available oxygen-containing functional groups for hydrogen bonding. Our approach entails investigation of the spectroscopy and dynamics of model isoprene-derived oxidized molecular clusters with atmospheric compounds. Infrared spectra and velocity map imaging results that characterize the hydrogen-bonding configurations and dissociation dynamics will be presented. Ultimately, the insights obtained from these prototypical clusters will shed light on larger HOMs implicated in NPF, reducing vast computational searches and streamlining parameterization of models to address public health and climate.<br/>
