Demonstrations related to the chemistry of energy, particularly green energy and energy conservation, are developed around a H2 fuel cell.  The fuel cell is interfaced via CAN bus to a microcontroller.  The microcontroller is linked to the presentation computer, allowing display and discussion of real-time data from the fuel cell (including output power, fuel consumption rates, and efficiency).  In addition, all the demonstration sensors (colorimeters, voltage monitors, etc.) are controlled via the microcontroller. The entire demonstration is powered by the fuel cell, allowing it to be used in classrooms without noise or toxic emissions.
