Benzylic and phenacyl azides were prepared for reaction with terminal alkynes to afford synthesis of triazoles containing a tetrafluoropyridine moiety. The triazoles were subjected to reaction with secondary amines to form piperidinyl and other derivatives. Propargylic tetrafluoropyridines were also allowed to react with phenylquinoxylmethyl azides to form potential p38a triazole derivatives. A third avenue involved reaction of propargyl imides with tetrafluoropyridyl azide.<br/>
