Endocrine disruptor compounds (EDCs) are chemical compounds (plasticizers, drugs, hormones, personal care products, etc.) used to make products to improve quality of life[1]. EDCs are suspected to cause adverse health effects, such as different types of cancer in men and women[2], as well as malformations or alterations in aquatic organisms[3]. The main source of introduction of EDCs into ambient water is the discharge of domestic water through domestic dreinage. The porpuse of this work was to determined the concentration levels of Ibuprofen (IBU), Naproxen (NPX), 4-nonylphenol (4NP), Bisphenol A (BPA), 17β-estradiol (E2) and 17α-ethinylestradiol (EE2) in surface water and its sediment, in the State of Morelos, Mexico.
