We wish to report the formation of a series of metal tetracarbonyl complexes involving Group 6 metal centers with the novel cis-P,P'-diphenyl-1,4-diphospha-cyclohexane (dpdpc) ligand.  The synthesis of M(CO)4(dpdpc), M=Cr, Mo, W, and the crystal structure of Mo(CO)4(dpdpc),which shows a distorted octahedral geometry around the metal center, will be reported.  The effects of a variety of solvents, reaction conditions, as well as spectroscopic data of the complexes will also be reported.
