In a continuous effort of flavones derivation, we have replaced the NEt2 by a NPh2 group. The stronger donating character of NPh2 abates the proton transfer phenomenal normally found in alkyl-substituted flavones, resulting only one normal form emission in actonitrile. We further discovered the tri-substituted flavone possess two-photon absorption cross-section at 800nm. It is believe the photophysical properties and the applications of these new flavones derivatives are worth of investigation.
