Poly(lactide)s are gaining importance as renewable materials and, as a consequence of their degradability, materials for biomedical applications. In order to alter their physico-chemical properties, their degradability presents interesting challenges. Herein, the application of mild 'thiol'ene and Diels-Alder chemistry for the synthesis and modification of architecturally diverse poly(lactide)s will be reported.
