The values of pH for an amino compound �TRICINE� have been determined at temperatures from 5 to 55�C, more specifically 25 and 37�C, using potentiometric technique of the cell type: Pt; H2 (g, 1 atm) | TRICINE (m1), NaTRICINEate (m2), NaCl (m3) | AgCl, Ag. Three equimolal buffer solutions have been studied: (i) 0.09 m TRICINE + 0.03 m NaTRICINEate + 0.13 m NaCl, (ii) 0.06 m TRICINE + 0.02 m NaTRICINEate + 0.14 m NaCl, and (iii) 0.08 m TRICINE + 0.02 m NaTRICINEate + 0.14 m NaCl. Bates-Guggenheim convention is used for the calculation of ?-Cl , the activity coefficient. These buffer solutions are recommended as primary pH standards for physiological solutions.
