The CWCS workshops inspired me to conduct workshops in the area of computational chemistry, which focused on enhancing teaching and learning chemistry using natural bond orbital, quantum chemistry and online chemical education resources, were attended by faculty, academic staff and graduate students from the University of Wisconsin System (UWS) campuses, and sponsored by the UWS Office of Professional and Instructional Development (OPID) Conference Development grants.  I also offer a regular Independent Study course dealing with the use of computational chemistry in undergraduate research in which my students present their research at an annual UWS-sponsored event.  In addition, I obtained a 2009 UW Colleges grant to support my research in the field of incorporating computational chemistry in undergraduate teaching and research.
