The UDM Chemistry Club's 70th Anniversary was an important milestone.  The Club had not celebrated an anniversary since its 50th, and alumni were not asked to  participate.  For this event we felt it was important to try and get alumni involved in the Club.  We sent out invitations to all department graduates.  An announcement in C&EN was also useful in contacting alumni.  The event was a potluck dinner with a home-feel atmosphere and social setting.  This led to a very successful event that will help us keep in touch with alumni for years to come, since every connection to the outside world may help us someday.  This would be a highly recommended event for any Club looking to reinstate long-lost members.  Some of them are always willing to come back and help.
