A sustainable magnetic palladium catalyst will be described.  This talk will focus on the synthesis, characterization, and the applications of the reusable catalyst � including hydrogenations and Heck and Suzuki cross coupling reactions.  Microwave irradiation was used because of its documented effects on nanoparticle synthesis as well as its ability to speed up hydrogenations and cross coupling reactions.  The major focus of the presentation will center on the recoverability and the reusability of the catalyst as well as the quantification of leached Pd into the reaction mixture.
