The effects of chiral centres in the imine on the asymmetric inductions in the aziridinationreaction have been investigated. Given the recent findings on the nature of binding of the imine to the catalyst in the asymmetric aziridination reaction, one would anticipate finding matched and mis-matched pairs between a chiral imine and to two enantiomers of the catalyst. This would allow for the generation of three chiral centres with excellent diastereoselectivity.
