Palladium-catalyzed allylic oxidation reactions allow for the direct functionalization of C-H bonds.  Recently, our group discovered a catalyst that converts terminal olefins into linear allylic acetates.  Concurrent with this work, we have examined allylic oxidations of disubstituted olefins, and the unique regio- and steroselectivity observed in these reactions will be discussed.
