Several years ago the ACS established Health and Wellness as the theme for National Chemistry Week. We present here information on the role of Vitamin K, perhaps the least well known of the vitamin series and of minerals in optimal health maintenance. The chemistry, mode of action and biological significance of these compounds will be highlighted.
