The synthesis of a dialkylated doubly linked dicyclopentadienyl ligand is described as well as the reaction of the neutral ligand with MCl3.xH2O (M = Rh, Ru) to form the corresponding chloro-bridged complexes. The reactivity of the chloro-bridged complexes in the context of C-H bond activation will be presented.
