Anodic stripping voltammetry (ASV)determination of Pb2+, Cd2+, and Zn2+ was done using metal catalyst free carbonnanotube (MCFCNT) electrodes. Osteryoung square wave stripping voltammetry (OSWSV)method was selected for detection. The MCFCNT is a novel material which does not have residual transition metal in the structure. The new electrode showsvery promising results in detecting heavy metal ions, such as Pb2+, Cd2+, and Zn2+.The calculated limits of detection were 13 nmol/L, 32 nmol/L and 38 nmol/L for Pb2+, Cd2+ and Zn2+, respectively with a deposition time of 150s. Also, deposition time of 10 minutes was used to explore the detectable concentration for longer time.  Detectable concentration levels of 10-10M, 10-7M and 3*10-7M were reached for Pb2+, Cd2+ and Zn2+, respectively.
