[Ag(XeF2)2]AsF6was the first compound where xenon difluoride bonded directly to a metal ionwas observed. Additionally, in 1998 HF was observed for the first time tocoordinate directly to the metal centre in the compound [La(HF)2](AsF6)3.Till now different coordination compounds of M(AF6-)xtype (M is a metal in oxidation state +x, x = 2, 3; A = PF6,AsF6, SbF6, BiF6,�) with HF or xenondifluoride as ligands were prepared and the majority of their crystalstructures were determined. Research was focused on M(AF6)2(M=Zn, Cd, Hg; A = PF6, AsF6, SbF6,�) type ofcompounds with HF or/and XeF2 as ligands. The compounds wereisolated and most of their crystal structures determined. Raman spectra of allthe isolated compounds were taken.
