Undergraduate research tends to occur at the Bachelor's degree level and beyond, however, in this talk, Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing students at the Associate degree level share their perspectives of conducting chemical research.  The students' experiences provide a point-of-view on topics including working with hearing peers, using their learned �hands-on� and applied skills from the Laboratory Science Technology (LST) program at the National Technical Institute for the Deaf (NTID), and taking on real-world topics such as analyzing dissolved organic matter in natural waters. This presentation will also include discussion of the student research, including some preliminary results.
