In the first part of the present study, carbon dioxide and methane adsorption experiments indicated that micro porosity is strongly related to organic carbon ratio of the coal. In the second part, thermal processes in co-combustion of a hazelnut shell with Beypazari lignite samples were investigated and non-isothermal kinetic techniques were used to determine the kinetic parameters.
